Enrollment

Thickets is a place-based learning community for young people ages 5 - 8 in Montpelier, Vermont. Centrally located, we are able to take advantage of all that the forests and parks and city of Montpelier have to offer. Although we begin each morning in Hubbard Park, each day evolves differently and is created collectively as the children decide where to go and how to spend their time.

Thickets uses Mia’s house as a “home-base.” The house is essential on days with challenging weather. It’s also great for building, baking, art, projects, reading, etc.

Thickets follows the same calendar as the local schools. We start accepting inquiries in March for Fall enrollment. Enrollment is rolling based on space in the program.
